I love the calendar and use it everyday. I wish I could afford the premium version but I am retired and on social security.

On the face of the app it won’t show the correct date. This has been an issue for years. Reached out to technical support but no luck for a fix.

No matter what I do, the reminders from my iPad won’t show up inside the app, even though this is not a problem on the iPhone and Mac versions.
  • Fantastical committed the Unforgivable Sin

It trashed several years of calendar entries. PIM apps must be absolutely trustworthy. They must never lose information or violate “The Law of Least Amazement” no matter how ham-handed the user. This is specially true for apps which are just one more in a long string of previous apps on previous platforms that stretch back 40 years or more for some of us. The general sense of how such apps behave is inherited knowledge, even part of the zeitgeist. Transgress our affections at your peril. No matter how great the “features” might be, destroying information on my calendar is beneath contempt. I will be terminating my subscription on all our family devices. The incident: I have a repeating meeting every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time every week. That was setup relatively painlessly. As happens occasionally, the time and/or day gets changed for a one-of special case. This just happened so I edited the entry dor the day in question, changing the time and turning off the repeating feature as the change is just one day and should not propagate. The app made no comment besides changing the info as requested. When I went back to the monthly view, ALL instances of the meeting had disappeared except for the one day I edited. Gone were not just the entries, but notes and links to reminders and other meeting debris. I I emphasize that the app said *nothing* - no warning about the huge scope it was about to change, and certainly no request for confirmation of that massive modification. Even on the edit page, it was particularly quiet about the edits I made and there was no obvious way to indicate the edits were complete and should be committed to the persistent data. This may be a massive QA failure, or bad UI design decisions. I don’t care which. My bits are gone. And so am I.

  • Came highly recommended but…

This app came highly recommended by several individuals. Got the app today with the plans to do the subscription in 2 weeks, as I’m trying the free version now but everyone says that it is worth it. I’ve had the app less than 8 hours and it is telling me that I can’t do this or that without linking an account, which I’ve done….several times. It is leaving a bad taste in my mouth because it doesn’t seem like it is an app that is reliable. Maybe it can be fixed? Right now it doesn’t seem like it is worth the money.

I’ve been using Fantastical for a few years and been loving it. I recently had an issue caused by myself. I contacted their customer support and got the quickest response and the clearest suggestions leading to a fix. They heard me and actually understood my problem (Rare). At end of day all my devices worked flawlessly. Best support team ever by far.
  • Impossible to share a calendar

I’ve searched the web and I can’t find a single way to share the same calendar with my wife without including google calendar. If I wanted to use google, I’d use google! Wouldn’t recommend if you want to sync the same calendar with someone. Edit: Dev replied. I already contacted support and they stated it is not possible with out using a third party calendar. My point still stands. If I wanted to use another calendar, I would use another calendar.
