  • Does not work with Music on Mac after upgrade to Catalina😞

    By Musefire
App connects to library, but will not play songs, shuffle or show what’s currently playing.
  • What happened Apple?

    By scotty@IDG
This is one of the most used apps on my phone. My primary computer with iTunes/Music library is always on and I’ve always been able to control music playback around the house across AirPlay devices with this app. It has been buggy for a while but is now no longer working at all... Hopefully Apple is quickly remedying this as so many of us have been using this functionality for so long. As a company moving towards Service and Software they seem to be dropping more and more of these balls.
  • App is broken with Catalina!

It does not work with the new music app! Literally making it useless! Cone on Apple fix it!
  • Progressively worse as iTunes continues to change

    By rantee
After the recent upgrade to Catalina, this app stopped working entirely. While it still connects to my library, it cannot detect what’s playing or control it. Super annoying. For subscribers to Apple Music, this should all be integrated into the Music app (which should simply allow you to choose a connected Mac as speaker output, or switch the device that’s in control, eg “Play here instead” features that competitors have had for years). For non-subscribers, still seems like this should be part of the Music app.
  • Broken and unmantained

Catalina broke support for this app. Now it only shows you your library but there is no Remote Control functionality at all.
  • Broken

This app is broken. Another casualty of the software fiasco this fall. I can select my library, browse to it but can’t play a thing. This is Apple’s software shouldn’t testing it be included as part of any operating system update? I have talked with Apple Support and they have no idea why it is not working. Happens on both iPhone and iPad. Don’t forget those of us who have libraries of music of our own that we want to play instead of paying for your Apple Music service.
  • Say Goodbye?

    By None1.
UPDATED REVIEW: I guess it might be time to say goodbye to my most used app. The functionality seems to be in the Music app on my iPad EXCEPT you now have to PAY to access your OWN music through iTunes Match! I would be willing to pay for the app but not a subscription to access my own music. We miss you Steve Jobs. When this app works it’s great. I have an all Apple network and devices and have used it for years. Any time there is an OS/iOS update Remote screws up. It’s always the last app to be updated. It’s like the illegitimate app that gets attention only if there’s nothing else to do. Now it doesn’t work with Catalina, SURPRISE! App support link in store takes you to the tv remote. This isn’t some third party app it’s Apple’s and they obviously don’t care about it. The reviews show that this problem has been apparent for over a month. I removed Catalina and don’t plan on updating until Remote gets an update.
  • No good

C-mom man , Apple remote needs to be fixed, right now, this app used to work before the new update , not anymore, I guess it’s the last thing on there list, sad.
  • Does Not Support new Music App

    By Alex MT
Support for new Catalina Music is required. Apple really shows a lack of care to its customers in this latest change. By the way Music also lost other iTunes features: - iPod Classic support - Column View Finder - Search functionality - Always show artwork view
  • Catalina killed this App

    By Scarred Wolf
Need to make app compatible with Apple Music. Currently looking for a replacement app.
