  • Very disappointed. Used to be great.

Been using Evernote for about 3 years across multiple devices and platforms. I never write reviews, but I simply don't know how I'd survive without Evernote. It is my depository for anything I will ever need to remember. Awesome! July 2021 update: The review above was written back in 2013 or so. I’ve been using it since 2011. Been a premium member since about 2013. I have loads of stuff in it. It has been my second brain. Where I throw everything and can find it. I use it for personal and professional life. I use a lot of the features. Now it’s just terrible. It’s so slow. Sync takes at least 10 times what it used to. For instance, my note counts on iPhone and iPad are 30 notes different right now and they’ve both been on WiFi all night. It takes forever to download notebooks for offline (like days). Hangs up. I find myself avoiding it and making quick notes somewhere else. It’s very frustrating. Evernote used to be awesome.
  • Images don’t show in Note

    By lizarama
The images I attached to a note only show in the note preview bit not in the actual note which is useless. This is unfortunate because I otherwise like Evernote which is why I paid to upgrade to Premium.
  • Good feature, basic keeps getting gutted, quality issues

    By kevnallen62
I started using Evernote years ago. It always had the features I needed for what I used it for. I like the checklist functionality. Unfortunately, they keep reducing what you can do with basic as far as the number of devices, which I don’t like. Recently I have run into a bug whereby every time I open a document, it reverts to read only. I have to manually stop the app and restart it. So annoying!
  • Bye Evernote

    By Falex Ali
Ok Evernote team. Thanks for trying to kick a five+ year user out. Two device limit including web interface, is a great decision, making portability a complete joke. Think user will pay monthly to add one more device? Think twice please.
  • Fails to sync to Windows 10 PC or laptop

    By Belibu
After 7 years using Evernote finally gave up, support doesn’t know how to repair syncing problem between my Win10 lapbtop and iPhone 11 Pro, even when using the same 200MB network on both devices. Everyday Evernote creates several additional “conflict notes” making it a mess to the client. Recently Evernote forced the user to a “readonly mode” apparently to avoid the duplicate “conflict notes” which is highly inconvenient, no editing possible. Despite its many good resources it fails keep the notes synced .
  • No longer worth paying

    By Vcbluemoon
Seems like all new updates are not to make product better but to force users to pay (or continue to pay, more)
  • BUG ALERT: App log-on not working

    By peridot814
I love this app but am suddenly not able to log in to use it on my phone- I keep tapping the “sign in” and it doesn’t go through and doesn’t do anything.
  • Consumer Tip

Go back to 2013. Stop trying to “improve” and “upgrade” and “enhance.” Every single update seems to break something or remove something. I stopped using Evernote for the most part. I’m much happier with the alternative I chose because it actually syncs properly and doesn’t constantly destroy itself with gimmicks and paywalls. Whatever programming you used in 2013, go back to that.
  • SLOW

    By lyicong
Too slow on iPhone SE (1 gen)
  • Done with Evernote.

    By khwphoto
I’ve been a customer for years and years and I’m done. Recent (over the last couple of years) issues - SLOW or NO loading, crashing, even the web version takes FOREVER to load (even on different computers). They got too big for their britches and started TAKING AWAY the benefits on free accounts and forcing you to pay for them if you wanted to keep them. Now every time I try to open a note on my phone, I get a nastygram telling me I need to upgrade with no explanations (and no, it’s not because I have too many devices I’m synced with). I’m just done. I’m backing up all my documents now and I’m outta here. Hope you paying customers enjoy your app though. ✌🏻
