  • Horrible feature set!!

Browsing is very well done, but the lack of shuffle and off line (downloads) makes this app virtually useless when traveling. Also lack of an iPad version is really poor from Apple! Looks like this was rushed out of Beta to be first to market rather than Orion out the feature set and cross device availability. Has serious potential but as it stands personally I think is a horrible implementation!
  • Can’t shuffle a playlist?

As other have said, it makes no sense that there is no “shuffle” function in this app. When is the last time you saw a music app with no shuffle? But want to know the craziest thing? If you save one of the playlists in the Classical app, you can switch back to the Apple Music app, open that playlist there, and guess what… there’s a shuffle button.
  • Terrible on iPad

App seems made for iPhone but at home i prefer to use my iPad. The user interface isn’t oriented correctly and doesn’t fill the screen. Really awful compared to Tidal, etc…
  • Good material, terrible UI

The music is very good with a broad selection, if you can get to it in the horrible user interface. Nice try but not s winner :(
  • Strange app and no iPad?

You couldn’t add this to the Music app? Seriously? Also, does Apple not make iPads anymore? Unbelievable that you didn’t release an iPad version .

I am listening to way more Classical music now that I have this app. I’m loving “The Story of Classical” and look forward to other similar content once I’m through it. I have always liked Classical but I always feel lost when I try to dive in. I’m still lost, but at least I can always easily find somewhere new to go now. I pretty much just do Classical on my runs now. And it’s wonderful.

Would give 5 stars but no shuffle or ability to play next or play last, I understand that sonatas and symphonies are meant to go together but then at least make an option to keep those sonatas together as chunks and mix it up if it’s a single track on a playlist.

  • No volume control

I was excited to try this new app, download it and signed up for a complementary month of Apple Music. At first, it seem to work, OK, but then I discovered, as have many it would appear, that it’s impossible to control the volume when the music is being air played to my HomePods. I tried a few suggestions offered by user comments, but they didn’t work for me. In less than an hour, I removed the app and went back to make sure that my Apple Music subscription was canceled.
  • Some problems I’ve had

I like this app a lot overall, but I’ve run into some issues. There are certain times when you can only favorite an album, but not add it to your library. For example, this happens when you search for a piece and select the “editor’s choice” for a particular album. Favoriting something doesn’t seem to do anything at all. I am frequently not able to share a song or album without switching to Apple Music. In fact, I can’t think of an instance where I am actually able to share a song or album without first going to Apple Music. No ipad app??? No shuffle??? And, the biggest issue of all: everything that I add to my library in classical is also added to my library in Apple Music. I would love to have these libraries be separate, so that anything I add to my library in Apple Music is completely segregated from anything I add to my library in Apple classical.
