  • App won’t open

    By N.Bhappu
I have been trying to open this app all morning and it will not open! I have restarted my phone, and still nothing. After paying for the full description, my family and I got together to plan, but the app won’t even launch.
  • Beware of Automatic Renewal Charge!

    By gmafaye
This app Automatically Renews and unless you go to Hawaii often, you will regret buying. I did not find it anymore helpful than the paper back book. Save your money and annoyance of being doubly charged if you don’t cancel. When bought, it should be a one time expense unless a renewal is requested.
  • How to feel like a local

    By AkilahC
I hate being and tourist and every time I go somewhere I hope there will be an app as thorough and insightful as this one is. I’ve avoided traps, eaten the best food, seen the most amazing waterfalls, and truly felt one with each community I had the fortune of staying with. The daily beach conditions and ability to save favorites were essential. Like others have noted, you can get stuck in a rabbit hole of information (which I rather enjoy), the navigation can be a bit clunky at times, and some of the most incredible beaches are just best found on your own. I have used this guide for O’ahu and Maui, and soon Kauai.

  • Oahu Revealed feedback

By Fred, a frequent Hawai visitor
Great guidebook, which we used because of the great help we had from companion volumes for Kauai and Maui. So, we used Oahu Revealed for our recent trip to Oahu ... 4 days in Honolulu plus four more on the north shore. Still, a few comments on some specifics are in order. HONOLULU DINING Nico’s Pier 38 had good food at atmosphere. Open air, nice and approachable music and good fish as promised. Atmosphere was great if you enjoy a combo fishing port wharf side setting along with major shopping, which was kinda cool. Your other guides used to have solid gold values and Nico’s might well merit one. Brick Fire tavern in Chinatown had a really great Burrato Pizza. Consider giving this an ONO. HANAUMA BAY We discovered, on our own, that going out into the bay, past the drop off, gets you to clearer water, more fish diversity and better coral. Also, we fortunately learned at Snorkel Bob’s that an early, pre 7 a.m. arrival is great for guaranteed parking availability plus free admission. Perhaps it’s good that you don’t mention that tip. KA’ALEWA BEACH Your directions for the access sure could have been clearer. We found our way from the cliffs with help from folks there. We absolutely could not find the access from Kulamanu. NORTH SHORE Romy’s Kahuku Shrimp needs to have the ONO rating REVOKED. We got the plates. The corn was unfit for human consumption. Pig slop at best. The shrimp was good. The so called balsamic vinaigrette on the salad was just plain vinegar. Likewise, Romy’s so called Asian dressing was plain old soy sauce. Romy’s was a bust.
  • Maps are a great help

    By hmwccw
The maps in the app alone are worth getting it. You can see where you are even without cell service because of their GPS ability. More current info than the book is also helpful.
  • Got charged for renewal

    By Emailfzh
Awful policy: I bought the app one time but it was allegedly a subscription. Got charged again one year later.
  • Yearly renewal fee?!

    By alreadyinusenickname
Yea.... cool app. But I was hit with a yearly renewal fee of $7.99? Definitely didn’t know I was signing up for a yearly deal. Like I want to keep up on Hawaii year around. Sent them a message and they auto-replied with a hard No on getting my money back for a app that I don’t even use. Great customer service👌🏽.
