  • Fun but Dumb

This game is completely rigged. I would not pay money for it unless you like pay to win games. I still have fun with it, but some games it’s obvious when the “luck” is tilted in favor of the other player. Expect to win 1:7 games unless your paying.... lol. Suckers for those who pay. Graphics are cool, the game is fun to play once you figure it out. Just don’t expect a lot long-term. Lastly, new Oblivion expansion is crappy - only a few cards, and it’s quite difficult to win with any older deck/set of cards against it. So the balance of this game is way off. You’ll notice when you play, there are very few close games. You typically win by a landslide or lose by a landslide....

Pretty fun game, but beware, once you skip the log in option there’s no going back. There should be a way to log into your account, that’s my only complaint.

This might be the one for you then. As soon as you collect decent cards and put a deck together, there’s an update. Well, nothing wrong with updates to keep things fresh and new, but with the new updates you get to buy new cards which often make previous decks obsolete. So all you need to do is keep buying new decks when the updates roll out and you can stay on top, but if you’re not going to keep buying decks you’re out of luck.
  • Way too expensive

Fun game but the free to play rewards are a joke. Relies way too much on in app purchases that get you very little for your money
  • Good game, confusing display

This game looks like everything you’d expect from an Elder Scrolls game, and the cutscenes are gorgeous. The major drawback is the text for the card battles is tiny. Take off my glasses and put the screen to my nose tiny. I played for a couple days and decided it wasn’t worth the eye strain. Definitely an app to play on an IPad.
  • Fun but poor user experience

Long load times, poor connection to servers and unattractive menu make for a shoddy experience to what is otherwise a fun game.
  • Who put this on editors choice

Just another “oh that’s making money?” rip off from Bethesda. Even though card games have nothing to do with elder scrolls at all, Bethesda figured they’d give it a shot since people were making money.

Lemme splain. It’s a card game. Usual 30 points thing. Each card has different powers and different options. However, never once does the game bother to explain any of this to the novice player. The guy who’s never played Elders Scrolls. There’s the usual quick go through and then you in it. You get cards, gold, little binders and blue gems. The cards you figure slowly out goes into separate categories of battle, none of which is ever explained. There’s strength and endurance and something something. None of makes any sense as, again, it’s never explained. You get a small idea from the titles, but that’s pretty much it. Hey! When do I use strength and endurance? you ask. Games answer? ............... Then the gems. They do something. What, could never figure out. Must be good cause I got a bunch. No idea where to spend them or what they do. The gold buys more cards. You can make your own decks. How should you do this to best affect? Again, never explained to a novice. Just sink or swim. Problem is, you get sick of sink or swim. You have no idea how or what you did won the round half the time. There’s also puzzles and practice, neither of which provide anything other than the same card battle with, again, no explaining. Win this round! It declares. How? I’ve tried ten times and haven’t a clue. I get it’s a puzzle but seriously, gimme a freakin hint that way, the next puzzle I get what you’re on about. Game says?? ............... Finally the cards. If you have an older phone, hard as f*** to read them and most are generally understood but also cryptic. Does it mean my hand that hasn’t been played or what’s been played or what’s in the deck? Seems simple but I’ve played cards with “hand” written and three different results, seemingly arbitrary and again, with no help or explaining. Which comes to the final gripe. Makes it frustrating and you realize that you must be either incredibly stupid at this (I am horrible at puzzles), not in any way familiar with Elder Scrolls and you face a steep learning curve or that just, don’t, want, to play something that doesn’t bother to give you a bit of a clue. Why would I want to spend any money on more cards I don’t understand? That being said, the game play is slow slow and the graphics meh. Gameplay is meh, rewards are nice but again no idea what they do half the time. So many better strategy games out there to waste your time on. Not this
