  • Too much money

The storyline is fun, but it costs too much to play: ever time you turn around it costs $1.99 to add diamonds for a dress, or $.99 to make a choice. No bueno.
  • Love This App! Just One Thing...

Hi! I love this app so much,my personal favorite is the Endless Summer Series. But the thing I noticed is, we are waiting 2 hours for just 1 pass to read again. And 4 hours if we won’t read until we get 2! I understand if this is a problem you can’t fix, but I recommend that we get 2 passes for 2 hours and 4 passes for 4 hours.

I love this game. I’ve been playing it for a few years and have even gotten some friends into it. However, the Diamond situation is out of control and I don’t see anything being done. I am aware that there is a VIP option in the works but I can’t find any information about it. Why is that? I’m fearful that it’ll be an expensive monthly subscription. I would honestly rather a version of the app that costs $2-$5, and doesn’t require any diamonds for story choices or wardrobe changes. Please at least consider making acquiring diamond more accessible to the average player. 6 diamonds every 6 hours isn’t very convenient when I’m trying to pick 2 choices per chapter. I’ve played through every first chapter of every book just for free diamonds, which was a major time waster. I would love to give the app a higher rating but I can’t in good faith.
  • Overpriced.

Out of all the story games I’ve tested thus far (though it’s only around 5 different games), this is one of my favorites with respect to the energy put into the dialogue and visuals (e.g., some other games have terrible pin-doll-like avatars and glitchy/nonsensical movements for scenes or incredibly slow dialogue). However, as many others have noted, the gems/key earning-to-using ratio is ridiculously off. Though making money is a necessity, you must keep in mind that most people playing these types of games aren’t willing (or even able) to pay a sh*t ton of money just to read a brief interactive story (as compared to a normal book, for instance). I played Bloodbound and spent $15 on gems for this story which enabled me to select only a few premium options from the whole story. $15 and I couldn’t even buy half the premium choices of a single book?? Think of how much you would have to spend to play a book the way you want all the way through.. a serious lack of consideration for players is evident here. With everyone and everything in the story urging you to purchase an option, how much fun is it really to not be able to make real choices in a game called Choices? Why not include more options for gem/key earning through watching ads, completing books, or some other “free” option like events or goals? (after all, time is money. Earn money indirectly through commercials/ads by having more people watch them? I’m sure this game would explode if it were more tangible for readers to enjoy - I sure as hell won’t be spending another $15 on a book just to SLIGHTLY turn it in favor of the direction I want). Take the initiative to upstep these other ripoff story games and give your readers a break.. Don’t charge 30 gems for an option when a reader only earns 1 for ads/completing chapters. I appreciate the “5 gems a day” you have going on with the daily “gift” tab, but at least offer more frequent ads or something. Please, stop this ridiculousness!
  • Love the stories, hate the gem system!

I love the stories in the app, they’re mostly YA style stories, but that’s totally fine with me! The problem is the gem system. I’d go broke if I bought enough gems to choose the option I want in the story every time! Which is super disappointing because then you miss out on lots of interesting plot and character development. Often I just stop using the app because I can’t afford to buy gems at the rate I would need to for the choices I want and it’s a far less interesting game/story if you have to skip all the gem-related options. I’m not normally a fan of subscription-style apps, but I’d be willing to pay a subscription to have unlimited gems/unlimited options for the choices in the stories. If they could find a way to lower the cost of completing a story with all of the “best” choices, I’d give it 5 stars for sure!

These games are a ploy to make you spend money offering you no ‘real’ choice unless you pay for gems.

Okay I love choices it is a great game there are only 3 things I ask for one of witch is diamonds please after finishing a certain amount of books give us 3 diamonds instead of two. Secondly can you also give us more tickets I thing the tickets maybe it should save 3-4 rather then only two. And lastly this I just a request please add more horror/ thriller games I have finished almost all of them I love the it lives anthology please continue it! Thanks I love this game!!!

Do not play Courtesan of Rome! The story is amazing and extremely well written. You’ll want to buy all the story extras! I spent over $20 on that game alone and I regret nothing. I’ve heard the writer of that story is now working for a different company. All the other stories I have tried from this app can’t compare in maturity and complexity. So I recommend this story, specially if you are over 20 and enjoys history.

I love choices! My favorite book is Desire and Decorum. It was one of the only books I read. I really wish there were more D and D books maybe a baby book like the royal romance had. But overall it is an amazing app would recommend!
